That is the answer to the question as asked. It is also the least useful number on this page, because Procreate runs on exactly one kind of device, and you cannot buy the ₹999 without buying the thing it runs on.

The cost nobody puts in the headline

Procreate has never shipped on anything except iPadOS and iOS. So the real question — the one people are actually asking when they type “procreate price in india” — is what it costs to start. That bill begins with an iPad.

So what does it actually come to?

Cheapest usable setup bought new — iPad ₹49,900 + Apple Pencil (USB-C) ₹7,900 + Procreate ₹999:

With one caveat that matters more than it sounds. The Apple Pencil (USB-C) reports tilt but not pressure. For a painting app, pressure is most of the point — it is what makes a stroke taper, what drives opacity, what separates a brush engine from a shape tool. If you want it, you need an Apple Pencil Pro and an iPad that supports one:

Which is the honest shape of the answer. Procreate is ₹999 and it is genuinely good value as software. It is also the last 1% of what you will spend to use it.

“Procreate price in India per month”

This is one of the most common ways the question gets typed, and it has no answer, because there is no monthly Procreate. Savage have been explicit about it for years — “Pay once. No subscription.” is on their homepage, not buried in a FAQ.

If a site is advertising a Procreate subscription, it is not from Savage. Treat it the way you would treat any other listing selling something the manufacturer does not sell.

But the instinct behind the search is reasonable. A monthly number is how most software is priced now, and it is how you find out whether a tool is worth it before committing ₹50,000 of hardware to it. What that instinct is really asking is: can I start small? With Procreate, no — the entry cost is the hardware and it is paid up front.

What about Procreate on Mac?

Savage announced Procreate Mac, alongside Procreate 6, expected 2027, on their own Folio forum (also covered here). No price has been announced.

Still Apple-only. No Android or Windows version was announced. If you own a Mac, that may change the maths for you in 2027. If you own an Android tablet, it changes nothing.

Is there a monthly Procreate subscription in India?

No. Savage Interactive has never sold Procreate on a subscription and says so on their own homepage: "Pay once. No subscription." If you are searching for a monthly price you will not find an official one, because it does not exist. Anything advertising a Procreate monthly plan is not from Savage.

Is Procreate a one-time purchase or a yearly fee?

One-time. There is no annual renewal, no licence to keep alive, and no feature that switches off if you stop paying. Buying it once on your Apple ID covers every iPad you sign into with that account.

What is the cheapest way to run Procreate in India?

The cheapest new setup is the base iPad at ₹49,900 plus the Apple Pencil (USB-C) at ₹7,900 plus the app at ₹999 — about ₹58,799 all in. Note that the USB-C Pencil reports tilt but not pressure. If you want pressure, you need the Apple Pencil Pro and an iPad that supports it, which takes the total past ₹1,00,000.

Why does Procreate cost so much less than other art software?

Because the hardware carries the cost. Procreate is priced as an iPad app and only runs on iPads, so ₹999 is the last line of a bill that starts at ₹49,900. Desktop software like Clip Studio Paint charges more for the software precisely because it runs on a computer you probably already own.

Can I buy Procreate for Android or Windows?

No. Savage has only ever shipped on iPadOS and iOS. They announced Procreate Mac, alongside Procreate 6 expected 2027, which is a second Apple platform — not a move off Apple. There is no Android or Windows version and none has been announced.

Are there refunds if I buy Procreate and do not get on with it?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Savage, through reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides case by case and there is no guaranteed trial period, so there is no way to try Procreate before buying — which is worth knowing before you also buy the iPad.
